The Caring Library: A Permanent Resource for Free Narcan in Warren County

The Warren County Prevention and Intervention Coalition is proud to announce the installation of The Caring Library, a permanent Narcan distribution station now available to the public. Located at Steered Straight, 1714 Smithville Hwy, McMinnville, TN 37110, this initiative represents our ongoing commitment to saving lives and supporting families impacted by addiction.

The Caring Library was generously donated to the coalition by Chase Away Fentanyl, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl and providing solutions to help combat the overdose crisis. Thanks to their partnership, Warren County now has a safe and judgment-free space where anyone can access free Narcan at any time. The community support bolsters the mission of The Caring Library.

Narcan (naloxone) is a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Having it available in our community, no questions asked, means more opportunities to save lives. It also helps connect people with the resources they need through the initiative of The Caring Library.

This is just one of many ways the coalition is working to reduce stigma, increase access to lifesaving tools, and build a healthier, drug-free community.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to Brooks Healing Center for providing lunch during the unveiling event. Also, thanks to Mimi’s Pioneer Nutrition for preparing the meal. Their support helped bring our community together to celebrate this important milestone.
